Land Science Technologies exhibited at the Northwest Environmental Conference NWEC in Portland, OR. This two-day conference and tradeshow highlighted environmental topics including emerging revitalization issues and technologies and was attended by environmental consultants, real estate attorneys, health & safety staff and many other industry related managers.

Land Science Technologies Co-Sponsored and exhibited at the 2009 EPA Brownfields Conference In New Orleans. The event focused onGreen Building & Sustainability, Redevelopment Strategies & End Uses and Environmental Assessment & Cleanup among other topics.     Land Science Technologies attended the 2009 RTM Sustainable Conference which focused on  identifying opportunities and moving forward on sustainable site redevelopments in a distressed economy. Attendees were given legal, financial, technical, risk management and sustainable development tools for successful redevelopment of environmentally imacted sites.


    10/19/2009 - Land Science Technologies attends Soils, Sediments, Water and Energy Conference 2009 in Amherst, MA

    Land Science Technologies attended The Annual Conference on Soils, Sediments, Water and Energy at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst which focused on Expediting and Economizing Cleanups. The technical program included topics on Energy, Air Quality and Health, Sustainable Remediation and Vapor Intrusion.

    10/14/2009 - Land Science Technologies Exhibits at RemTec '09 in Banff, AB Canada

    Land Science Technologies exhibited at the Remediation Technologies Symposium RemTech in Banff, Alberta Canada. This conference is the premier remediation technology transfer event for environmental professionals, encompassing the latest innovations in soil and groundwater remediation. RemTech provides a forum for industry experts to present these leading edge technologies. Some of the topics addressed include In-Situ/Ex-Situ Treatment Methods, Biological Treatment, Environmental Management and Stablization and Containment.

    Land Science Technologies exhibited at the 2009 AHMP National Conference in San Diego, CA. The AHMP National Conference, formerly the ACHMM National Conference, is the environmental health, safety, security EHS&S, hazardous materials and waste management industry’s leading forum for national and international information exchange and networking.     Land Science Technologies attended the US EPA's 2009 Brownfields Grantee Workshop in Asheville, NC. The workshop included overviews on Brownfield Grants, tips on working with state agencies and case studies.


    6/25/2009 - ITRC VI Pathway Workshop in Long Beach, CA Sponsored by Land Science Technologies

    In June 2009, the California Department of Toxic Substances Control and California Water Boards hosted the ITRC Class—Vapor Intrusion Pathway: A Practical Guideline in Long Beach, California. Sponsored by Land Science Technologies an led by internationally recognized experts, this two-day class provided practical training on the vapor intrusion pathway. Topics included the latest strategies to: conduct site screening and investigations; determine what tools are appropriate to collect quality data and evaluate the results; apply multiple lines of evidence to ensure quality decision-making; and build solutions for vapor intrusion issues through understanding of mitigation options.

    5/17/2009 - Land Science Technologies Exhibits at the ICSC Recon Conference - Las Vegas, NV

    Land Science Technologies exhibited at the 2009 ICSC RECon Conference in Las Vegas, NV. In attendance were over 50,000 colleagues from all corners of the world for networking, deal making and education at RECon.     Land Science Technologies attended the second Ohio Brownfields Conference in Wilmington, OH.     5/5/2009 - Land Science Technologies attends Battelle's In-Situ Bioremediation Conference - Baltimore, MD

    Land Science Technologies attended the Tenth International In Situ and On-Site Bioremediation Symposium in Baltimore, MD. First held in 1991, the Bioremediation Symposium program integrates recent developments in risk assessment, fundamental research, and innovative engineering applications for both traditional and emerging contaminants. The Symposium offers a broad perspective on the performance and reliability of microbial-based processes for site restoration, waste treatment, pollution prevention, and environmental biotechnology worldwide.

    The award was presented at the Environmental Industry Summit in Coronado, CA, an annual event hosted by the Environmental Business Journal, a leading business newsletter for the environmental industry. Geo-Seal was also a 2008 finalist for a prestigious European award, the Enersol Innovation Award for Remediation Technology.

    1/30/2009 - Vapor Intrusion Seminar Highlights Current Issues, Industry Trends and New Technologies

    A full-day technical seminar on a timely topic, vapor instrusion, hosted by Land Science Technologies, makers of Geo-Seal™, and the Ohio EPA, drew a capacity audience of nearly 200 environmental consultants and other professionals in Columbus, Ohio on January 14, 2009.

    The seminar offered a range of perspectives on vapor intrusion issues as seen by regulators, independent consultants and other industry stakeholders. The seminar speakers included: Gavin Armstrong of the Ohio EPA; Blayne Hartman, Ph.D. Hartman Environmental Geoscience; Matt Rudolph Terracon Consulting Engineers & Scientists, Bill Frez, Ph.D. AECOM, and Peter Grant Land Science Technologies.

    Land Science Technologies undertakes first seminar -

    VAPOR INTRUSION: Regulations, Monitoring, Management and Mitigation

    This event provided participants with a broad perspective on vapor intrusion issues as seen from a range of different parties including: a regulatory agency, an expert industry professional, a large corporation, seasoned consultant and vapor barrier technology provider.

    Ohio EPA’s Voluntary Action Program VAP awarded PDHUs to VAP Certified Professionals who attended this training.  The Ohio EPA staff had a significant involvement in developing this course to ensure that it was consistent with the vapor intrusion investigation and assessment guidance the Agency is currently developing.
